Ingredients:
- Flour 4 cups
- Milk 1/2 cup
- Water 1/2 cup
- Butter 3/4 cup
- Egg 1
- Egg yolk 1
- Salt 1 tsp
- Sugar 1 cup
- Yeast 2 1/2 tsp
- Chocolate bar 1/2 cup
- Crushed pistachios 1/2 cup
Method
- Combine water and 2tbsp of flour in a saucepan and simmer the mixture's runny paste; leave it to cool.
- Mix half sugar, milk. Yeast in a bowl and allow it to froth.
- Mix flour, sugar, salt, butter, egg, egg, egg yolk, the cooled batter.
- Add the yeast mix to a soft dough.
- If the dough is dry, add milk a little and make a soft little sticky dough.
- Add the chocolate and pistachios and knead again.
- Allow the dough to rest for about an hour or 2.
- Take the punch it down and break into individual balls 10 to 12.
- Bake at 190°c for 20 mins or until the top turns golden brown.
